Where are they now?

OR, what became of them and are they even still with us???
I'm talking about CHILDREN who appeared on TZ.
I'll go first.
Little Ronnie (or Ronny?) Howard, AKA Ron Howard
He appeared in Walking Distance. He's Martin Sloane's little neighbor.
I don't really need to point out what became of this guy. Talk about a success story!

Suzanne Cupito was in three Twilight Zone episodes, uncredited as a little girl in "Nightmare as a Child", Sissy Johnson in the fourth-season episode, "Valley of the Shadow", and Susan in the fifth-season episode, "Caesar and Me." (she was pretty despicable in the last one). She grew up and changed her name to Morgan Brittany. She was in Dallas and lots of commercials. She was just beautiful

reply

Hi Jennie! so good to see you, so to speak.... LOL!
I Absolutely hated her in Caesar and Me. She sounded and acted like a gangster!
i wonder if she ever caught that episode as an adult. she had to have either laughed or cringed! Maybe both....
Loved her on Dallas!

reply

Thanks very much! I don't post much nowadays.

reply

I don't either, but its always good to see familiar "faces" in the crowd. Hope you're doing well.

reply

I am fine. Thanks very much! Looking forward to memorial day!

Bill Mumy immediately springs to mind. He was actually in a few of the best noted episodes.

He has also remained affiliated with the industry continuously in some form or another.

I always thought it was kind of cool the way that he and the lost in space cast remained close throughout the years.

reply

Good grief! Can't forget him! Jennie Portrait says that Suzanne Cupito, AKA Morgan Brittany appeared in three episodes. Didn't Billy appear in four?
That boy certainly had one busy career as a child. Aside from Lost in Space, he was always showing up in shows throughout the 60s. He was in quite a few movies as well. I remember a cute one with Jimmy Stewart. Dear Bridget!
It's nice to know that he kept on working even behind the scenes. He seems to have led a fairly stable life as well. His daughter, who also started acting at a young age looked just like him.

reply

I just remembered him in the episode where he could control people, and everyone was afraid of him, because that storyline was also featured in the 80’s movie. Also the episode in which he spoke with his dead grandmother on his toy phone. That one was really spooky 😲

I’ll have a look at his filmography and check it out.

reply

That's two. There is another one with Jack Klugman where he plays his young son. In Praise of Pip
There is one more too, but it escapes me. Maybe Jennie knows???

reply

Okay, I remember that one now. I want to say the 4th was the episode in which he predicted that the world would be ending soon?

Edit: I cheated and looked him up, and he’s only listed in 3 episodes:

In praise of Pip
It’s a good life
Long distance call

reply

LOL! Good ole Google! Thanks! It would have been bothering me all day.
Looked it up...... now why didn't I think of that! I've got the internet and everything!

reply

I believe I saw Mr. Mumy briefly in the first episode of the new Netflix lost in space. I've only seen the first three episodes so far, so I don't know if it was just a cameo, or if he will appear more later.

reply

Keep us posted if it's really him.
Now I must research this!!!

reply

It was definitely him, but I think he died right away. He was the real Dr. Smith on the big ship, and the criminal lady took his identity.

Yep, he’s also a fairly successful musician MJF. He’s also produced a few different television series, one of which was a sci fi series geared towards children, by the title of “Space Cases”.

He also never seems to age. I swear he still looks like a 60 something year old teenager to this day!

reply

Not to mention his infamous foray into music as Barnes & Barnes with "Fish Heads"!!

reply

Oh, yeah. I don’t think it’s possible to forget fish heads after seeing the video. Ole Billy was getting his freak on there! Gotta wonder if certain substances were in play at the time.

He did have a punchable head, that's for sure.

Anthony Fremont grew up to be the 45th President of the United States.

reply

That's nothing more than sour grapes, you rotten damn Turnip, you.

reply

You assume I support Hillary Clinton, who is scarier than Freddy Krueger and Pennywise combined. No, I feel, even if Clinton had won, we'd still be cornfield-bound.

reply

The old cornfield ID'ed by the old Turnip. You really can produce when you cultivate your gourd.

reply

Cultivation of one's gourd is something I aspire to instill in everyone I encounter.

reply

You're a bright bulb, & have harvested your crop well, Turnip.

reply

On a more positive note, this reminds me of the last line of Voltaire's novel Candide: "Let us cultivate our garden."
I had to read this a long time ago (probably high school) but I've never forgotten that line.

reply

Or, as "Being There"'s Chauncey Gardner put it: " As long as the roots are not severed all is well, and all will be well, in the garden."

In case this is news to anybody, Billy Mumy did reprise his role as Anthony in the latest incarnation of TZ (it ran sometime in the last 10 years or so). It was an episode called It’s Still A Good Life” and he was grown up and had a daughter.

reply

His father seemed to hold some sway with the youngster, but, would not employ it.

reply

[deleted]

They'd gotten him somewhere off the grid. "It's your fault, you had to go and have him." was the accusation from the neighbor lady.
