I thought played his part like a complete idiot. It was more like watching Jerry Lewis do one of his silly routines i thought Fonda and Lemmon's scenes were ridiculous; there was no way to know if Fonda like, hated, tolerated etc Lemmon's charactar. One minute Fonda insults him and one minute he acted like his pal. The only thing i liked about the movie was seeing the guy that played Festus on Gunsmoke as one of the crew.
Rstoner- one can see the influence of Lemon on Jim Carey when you see his physical comic pretensions.
