Older men

Is it just me, or is Audrey Hepburn ALWAYS with strangely older men? Perhaps not so old in their actual ages, but she always looks as if she's in her 20s and they always look as if they're in their 40s or 50s. Especially with Linus in Sabrina... good God, it just seems *wrong.* Does anyone else have a problem with this? It always makes it harder for me to watch her films even though I love her as an actress.

Though her and Gregory Peck in Roman Holiday were perfect together, I think.

She likes daddies. Nothing wrong with that.

If they like each other so what? Today young women must wait to get real good men for marriage because so many men of their young age [less than 30 years old] are a a bunch of good for nothing losers [like this idiot of Justin Bieber]. I can see why.

It was more common in old movies to have the woman considerably younger than her male counterpart....typical male ego there. And it's totally ridiculous...same with Grace Kelly's roles. Most attractive women date attractive men their own age....I don't think Audrey would look twice at a man in his mid-50s. Audrey was a whopping 30 years younger than bogey when this film was made....that has never been normal or typical. It happens, but it's not that common. Even a ten year gap isn't that common. It's just the male-run Hollywood of that time only cast young women in leading romantic roles and cast older, still-famous men opposite them....it's a male fantasy, but in reality such relationships have never been that common.

I agree, I found it a bit disgusting because these man are like +20 years older than her. But this movie is a good anyway.
