I Hate Remakes, But This Might Make a Really Cool Remake

Normallly I am against the whole idea of resurrecting a classic just to update it for the Internet generation, but I can see Black Lagoon done with real class and wit, in the hands of, I don't know -- Peter Jackson or somebody.

Thoughts?

I'm surprised this film hasn't been remade already. I cabelieve that if they did do a remake, they would probably take all the fun out of it and make it longer than necessary like they did with the remakes of King Kong and The Wolf Man (which IMDb says is only 103 minutes long but when I saw it in theaters, it honestly felt like 2 and a half hours).
