Do you think Marlon was hot in Streetcar?

Somebody posted on this board that they challenge any woman to watch Streetcar and not think Marlon was sexy. Well my mother did and she didn't find him sexy. I don't agree with her but there you go. No matter how hot somebody is you can't please everybody.

It is obvious that Marlon had something about him. This was the film that launched his career afterall.

One of the points of the story of Streetcar is that Stella puts up with being in an abusive marriage because she is so attracted to Stanley that she can't leave him no matter how he treats her.

Watched it for the first time last night.

Though he definitely turned out to be a creep, I was drooling over his physical appearance during the first half of the movie.

He had rugged good looks and a rockin body. Those arms! Though he might not have had the typical six pack of today, he was very well toned.

Very appealing to look at, I thought. My husband was getting very annoyed with all my comments about him.

He somewhat reminded me of Matthew McConaughey, though better looking, I thought.

No way do I think Brando has ever been "hot"! He always seems to be sneering.too!

OK disclaimer, gay man here. I have always admired Brando as an actor, but never been attracted to him (ala Johnny Depp or Brad Pitt), there are plenty of
actors many women find "sexy" that just don't do it for me.

But here in "Streetcar" by any objective measure, he is way beyond just any normal "hot guy". Sexy, sensual, good looking, you name it, he's got it. It's odd he never looked anywhere near as good in any other movie.

he was beyond hot

SO out of this world sexy! His entire demeanor just ramped it up for me. Maybe I'm completely bizarre, but I find anger and crassness totally hot, but only within movie characters. It's not as if I'm married to an abusive or even particularly angry man either, but man oh man, LOVE Marlon Brando in this. It's like, I recognize he's a big jerk, but he looks so good being a jerk that I simply do not care.

Hell yes, Brando was at his smokin' best in this film. A brutish, amoral thug--but sexy as hell! Poor Stella--she never stood a chance against Stanley's utter hotness.

Gay here, not that that matters.

Of COURSE. OMG, Brando is incredibly hot in this movie! I was shocked because, like everyone else, I have only seen The Godfather besides this. I definitely was taken aback at how toned and muscular his entire body was. Oh, and yes, the character he plays IS an ass, but he dramatises it VERY well. A stellar actor and hot man (at least, circa 1951).

Yes! I'm pretty shy about guys and all, but he looks like the perfect guy :)Today's Brad Pitt doesn't stand a chance.

There is hot and then there is Marlon Brando in A Streetcar Named Desire...he is on a completely different level of sexiness

I so agree; he was so hot and it was like his character added to his hotness; I'm not saying an abusive man is great but a sexy; strong; headstrong man is very sexy.
