One of my favorite scenes---
When Lucy poses as Ricky's agent and visits MGM, hoping to coax them into casting him in something.
"Dick and Oscar are just mad about the boy"
The whole scene is hysterical!

"You can't have him Oscar, and neither can you Dick."
"He's released... he's released..."
Lucy was at her scheming best in that scene until the whole thing blew up in her face. lol
"They'll FIRE you on the spot! ANNNND NOOO OTHER studio will hire such a dunce!"
shareThe entire episode is hilarious ("Look at her eyes - she looks like a frightened horse!").
Probably my very fave of the Hollywood shows.
Lucy was at her best in this episode. Lucille Ball got to do everything that's funny about Lucy. She schemed and plotted, she wore a different costume which changed her whole look, she was pushy. But she pushed too hard and then everything went wrong.
I love the way she tried to explain to Ricky what she did. He ranted and raved.
Lucy: "Now you're getting it."
And in the blink of an eye, Lucy figured a way out of the whole mess.
For anyone who wants to doubt Ball's genius, or call I Love Lucy a dated relic, just refer them to this! It's
60-plus years old, and plays fresher than countless TV shows (sadly, Ball's included) that are decades younger.
A truly classic episode. And a word to those who dismiss Lucy as not being subtle: That office scene is loaded
with Lucy's near-infinite emotional register...sly, to scheming, to petrified.
