Does anyone else suspect that perhaps -

They may have met an angel?

Don't be quick to say no, this is one to think about.

I'm pretty sure I met one once. His name was Jack and I didn't know what he was back then.

Interesting question. Could be.

I do not think so.

I thought I did. It turned out he was a local minister. He acted exactly how you would expect an angel to act, bringing a message of hope and reverance at just the right time. There is no question angels exist and we don't see them except for miracles which are rare and far between. Now we are called upon to do the work humans once regarded as a work of angels- passing along kind words, sharing the grief of others, giving of ourselves to those in need.

Actually, there is some question.

I believe I did once. I was having a hard time because I was going out with a guy that my parents didn't approve of, and who I knew was not right for me. My parents and I would get into several arguments because we were both of age, and at the time did not feel I needed my parents advice (I have since grown up, and gotten over that)

My mom took me on a road trip, but she had to attend a short business conference first. As I sat reading my Bible while waiting for her one day of the conference, a man stopped and sat down beside me. He exact question was "have you ever done something that was legal to do, but you knew in your heart wasn't right".

It was like he knew the situation, and before he left he gave me a chapter in Psalms to read. I never saw him again, really makes me wonder sometimes.

What a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you :). And it still makes me wonder, what if.......

There have been times when I had help from a stranger that, or all I know, could have been an angel. There have also been many times when people I knew helped me and I felt they were inspired by God to do so because the help was always exactly the type I needed to fit the situation without me even asking.

I went to visit my husband's grave in a military cemetery-- row after row of white headstones. It was the middle of a summer day and no one was around. I stood looking at his headstone and started crying. Next thing I knew a young black man about 18-ish came up and put his arm around me. I'm a white woman around 60. He said, "I know it's hard to be without them. But they're with God, and they're okay." I just nodded. We stood like that for a couple of minutes. Then removed his arm and I didn't look up immediately, but did look up a few seconds later and there was no one around. He was nowhere to be seen. There were no trees, no other vehicles, just hundreds of white headstones. I like to think he was an angel.

WOW. Simply wow.

Look up the paintings of artist Thomas Blackshear. He has painted some great angels.

That is incredible. What a wonderful experience!

I have had some experiences in my life that I just can't explain. I've also come to accept that I can stop feeling the need to TRY and find an explanation for everything. But much like so many have posted,...when someone seems to pop up at just the right time and somehow the time is perfect, their wording is perfect, it's as if they know what's going on or what you need to hear,...all the right nerves are touched, and something feels changed inside.

This happened to me yesterday. And I definitely still "feel" the presence of the experience very deeply...and it came at a time when I felt I was clinging to the last very tenuous thread in my life. Timing of these things combined with just the right wording,... Gives me shivers.

I also like to think we are blessed when we are fortunate enough to receive these touches of angels wings in our lives.
