Where and When Did You First See 'Laura'?

Just wondering...I can't seem to remember, myself. I may have watched it with my Dad a long, long time ago on non-cable (wasn't available for many years to come, lol) tv...probably the "Million Dollar Movie", or "The Late Show", if he let me stay up. I remember he loved the song so. Years later it was probably on American Movie Classics (circa mid-1980s). All I know is that I was hooked from the start, and have been enjoying it ever since.

Last week in class. Just finished the book a few minutes ago.

Makes me want to see some more film noir -- too bad there's none of it on Netflix.

I remember watching it on TV with my Grandmother, Mother and my Aunt. It must've been around 1957.....I was 9 years old, and I remember that date because when the new year came....they would flash the new year's date on the screen intermittently during that day's programming. Any way, I also remember this because my Aunt and my Mother were reminiscing and cooing over the fashions in the film. In 1944 my Aunt was in her mid-20's, and had seen the movie at the theatre. It was a fun time of listening to her recall her escapades as a young woman. I cannot watch Laura without remembering my Grandmother, Aunt and my Mother......and of course.....my own appreciation for this wonderful movie!

About 11 years ago. My e-friend (the one who introduced me to classics) thought that I might like it. I sure did! I've seen this film probably about 30 times.

At the beginning of the century, might have been 2001 or '02. On TV here in Germany, on one of the few channels that don't play commercials, fortunately. I watched it because I heard quite a lot about it, and because I knew other films that Preminger directed. Branded as a noir classic, and deservedly so.

I saw it when I was btwn 13-15. Back when AMC used to show only classics. So late 90s? I didn't expect Laura to be alive, so that moment when she comes back was really great for me. I instantly loved it to the point where I recorded it on cassette (haha) and would play it on my Walkman (hahahaha).

Now of course, I have it on DVD and in digital download format lol.
