Hi guys, im doing a study on vampire movies, and twilight is the main focus. I was hoping you would comment on the twilight movies, whether you like them or hate them? Also, how do you feel about modern day vampire movies their changes in convention from films like nosferatu?

Twilight is an extremely romanticized version of vampires - yes mainly for teenage girls but I did get a kick out of the series up until the baby was born - that was just typical and well bad. I like Twilight to a degree but to compare it to Nosferatu is comparing apples to oranges. Nosferatu is true horror. Twilight is romance.
I did like Interview with a Vampire - so just shoot me.
The best vampires are a real horror show. I like Bela Lugosi, Christoper Lee and Max Schreck for example- these guys are good as vampires and played in movies that are real horror/vampire films. I also think that Salem's Lot is another example of pure true terrifying vampires.
Twilight < Nosferatu.

I liked the twilight books first time around and I liked the first film but by the time the second film came out I was losing my interest and by the time the third film came out I didn't love them. I still saw the last two in the cinema just for the hell of it but yeah, don't like them all too much.
My favourite modern day vampires would be the ones from Buffy, True Blood & The Vampire Diaries.
