I think It was a decision of Lucas Film. Last Friday Daisy visited a children hospital wearing Rey's costumes. The actress who plays Ahsoka in Star Wars Rebels was there, too. I think it was an event linked to SWC.

You are right , that visit was in fact part of the celebration. The main idea was take the celebration to sick children that due their condition weren't able to attend (this was mentioned by Ashley and a woman that at the event at hospital) they did a lot of different activities with the kids.
Also, I have seen two different people that were at the celebration and are saying that she went on Sunday but was in a costume (not Rey one, but one with a mask) and left earlier . I don't know if it's true or not.

I think she was not at the celebration because if someone found her there, it would be a big messy hahahaha! Everybody loves Daisy!
So nice she attended the event in the hospital. The children deserve.
I think Lucas Film prefered preserve Daisy for the next SWC and now keep the focus in Felicity and Rogue One ;)

Yes I think the same. Plus, Sunday was Alden's day and the Han Solo movie. So they needed keep the attention around them too. If you notice, John that was in representation of the "new cast" basically spoke about the new girl (Mary Tran?) and wished luck to Alden, and that's was his biggest contribution. Lucasfilm is obviously keeping something big for next year celebration, with complete cast I believe (or at least the new main cast: Daisy, Oscar, Adam, john)

Some possible reasons:

#1 - LucasFilms wanted the spotlight to be on Rogue One and introducing the new Han Solo guy. But then why was John Boyega allowed to be there and not Daisy?

#2 - Daisy did her contribution with the Rey cosplay on Thursday for the children's hospital.

#3 - Daisy filmed the longest out of all the cast. Maybe she was just exhausted and was excused from having to be there.

#4- Even if a disguised Daisy did show up at the convention as someone posted, then I really don't know why she couldn't stay a bit like John for the introduction panel. So, I can't even defend Daisy for that poor decision unless LucasFilms adamently told her they didn't want her spotlighted. But then, why would they allow John instead of Daisy? Why go through all that elaborate work to cosplay, show up at the event, and not bother for 15 minutes more of panel spotlight? My final guess would be that it wasn't really Daisy at all hidden in that costume.

Sorry if I didn't answer the OP question, but my take would be reason #3. Now,I'm curious too. You should post this to her Instagram and FB page and see if she would reply. Only Daisy would know the real reason why she chose not to attend a celebration in her own backyard.
