It would add realism if Rey had hairy armpits

Daisy Ridley was superb as Rey. However, in few shots you could clearly see she had her underarms impeccably shaved. I doubt that a wasteland-dwelling semi-feral character like Rey, here portrayed by a woman in her 20s, would have the time or the willingness to tend to her armpits so diligently that there wouldn't even be a stubble left. I think if they went for a more natural look in that region, it would have considerably added to the realism of both her character and the entire movie.

Maybe, but would it have made it any better? Be honest now.

Well it would have been a bit risky, I suppose, but its the kind of risk that Star Wars could have afforded to take.

Hair in other places would have made it better, and NC-17 as well.

yes

Interesting point, do you think underarm hair alone would make it NC-17?

Sure Star Wars has always been about the details.

That is what us geeks get to point out all day long to each other and on-line too.

Accurately hairy armpits hair should have been 3-6 inches.

No longer and no shorter.

Of course light sabres make dangerous hand razors for shaving. Assuming that plasma has zero heat coefficient of thermal expansion Micron Per Meter Per Celsius Degree (µm/m-°C)

Naturally one would argue that hairy girl moustache would be proportional to the hair length of the arm pits. A visible mono-brow would be accurate too and lets not forget women's legs here.

If this Star Wars was made in the 70's these things would be appropriate and not irregular.

A severally hairy crotch is possible, leaving a bulge with hair exposed.

NC17? What, you mean like if it was quickly growing outta control?
