Whats the deal with all these annoying, young British actresses they're casting into big movies nowadays?

Alice Eve - Start Trek into Darkness
Hayley Atwell - Captain America
Emilia Clark - Terminator Genisys
Rosie Huntington - Transformers 3
and Daisy Ridley in this.

There are plenty of American actresses who could have done these roles, so why the preference for a British girl?

I've heard Brits pretend to do American accents and they're bad. It's no different, you just have to get the training I think.
