Hayley Atwell - Captain America
Emilia Clark - Terminator Genisys
Rosie Huntington - Transformers 3
and Daisy Ridley in this.
There are plenty of American actresses who could have done these roles, so why the preference for a British girl?
Peggy Carter is supposed to be English so it makes sense to have an English actress rather than an American doing an awful attempt at an English accent.
Star Trek, Terminator and Transformers were pretty bad so I don't think it mattered what actress they had.

Because they display more gravitas, dignity, maturity and lady like refinement. American (and Canadians) behave like over grown teenage girls. I find them annoying.

Yep. Gravitas, dignity, maturity and natural refinement are very hard to come by, and the British girls all have it. Ridley especially.
