Wants to star in the new Scary Movie.

With the horror parody film series Scary Movie set to return, actress Melissa Barrera has confirmed she's open to in appearing in it following her firing from the Scream franchise.

Barrera confirmed as much in an interview with Inverse while promoting her new horror film Abigail. Obviously, that would be quite the opportunity for some meta commentary, especially considering the first Scary Movie largely parodied Scream.

"I always loved those movies," Barrera told Inverse. "When I saw it announced, I was like, 'Oh, that would be fun. That would be so fun to do.' "

I could actually see them wanting to take her up on that. Don't know if they'll be 'brave' enough to actually do it, but I bet they could have some real fun with her whole firing from Scream in a very meta way.
