shareFemale politicians have a hard time being perceived as "likable" by the general public. Usually because they're just not likable people. I get the feeling that their image consultants are advising them to laugh a lot, even in response to serious questions, to create the perception of being likable. Hillary Clinton did the same thing, and so did Liz Warren once she started running for president. These image consultants are idiots though, because in reality the constant and inappropriate cackling, which is clearly artificial, just makes them look fake and crazy, or like they're just laughing to buy themselves time to think of an answer. It doesn't come off as genuine, doesn't make them likable, and it also doesn't inspire respect as a leader.
