Meta ends fact-checking program as Zuckerberg vows to restore free expression on Facebook, Instagram

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/meta-ends-fact-checking-program-zuckerberg-vows-restore-free-expression-facebook-instagram

"We have a new administration coming in that is far from pressuring companies to censor and [is more] a huge supporter of free expression," Kaplan said, referring to the incoming Trump administration. "It gets us back to the values that Mark founded the company on."

He neglected to mention that Trump is very opposed to 1st Amendment rights and plans on a revenge tour that includes journalists he does not like. https://www.npr.org/2024/10/22/nx-s1-5161480/trump-media-threats-abc-cbs-60-minutes-journalists

Zuckerberg, however, acknowledged a “tradeoff” in the new policy, noting more harmful content will appear on the platform as a result of the content moderation changes.

Interesting how Fox Entertainment left out this part of Zuckerberg's comments.

reply

What is

harmful content
?

reply

Zuckerberg did not elaborate. What do you think he meant by that?

I suspect it will be related to posts attacking anyone who is female, not straight, non-white, not Musk, not Trump, etc. What do you think?

reply

Anyone who disagrees with/criticizes females, non straight, non-whites, not Musk, not Trump, etc.?

reply

Yes... I, too, would like to know what is "harmful content"

reply

Any content that challenges the establishment narrative.

reply

How is

Trump is very opposed to 1st Amendment
?

reply

Really? Pretending to be stupid right in front of the link I posted? Pretending to be stupid is not the position of strength that you appear to think it is.

reply

How is

Trump is very opposed to 1st Amendment

?

reply

Do you really need the link I posted above, again? If a person is trying to convince others that they are stupid, this is how it is done. https://www.npr.org/2024/10/22/nx-s1-5161480/trump-media-threats-abc-cbs-60-minutes-journalists

reply

You wrote

Trump is very opposed to 1st Amendment rights
So how is
Trump is very opposed to 1st Amendment
?

reply

Right there in the link is the answer to your stupid questions.

Trump has pledged to toss reporters in jail and strip major television networks of their broadcast licenses as retribution for coverage he didn't like.

While campaigning for Republican congressional candidates in 2022, Trump repeatedly pledged to jail reporters who don't identify confidential sources on stories he considered to have national security implications.

He joked that the prospect of prison rape would loosen reporters' lips about their sources.

Are you done pretending to be stupid now?

reply

That doesn't answer the question though and cite sources that Trump said any of that.

reply

Where is the source showing Trump saying that?

reply

I posted the source in the link above. Pretending to be stupid is not going to get you ahead in life.

reply

Why don't you link to the video/audio/timestamp where Trump says he's opposed to 1st Amendment rights?

reply

Because I don't really feel like watching the video again. Has Trump ever been alleged to have said something really stupid and it turned out to be not true? I would say it is very rare.

I think if I link the timestamp, you will not acknowledge viewing the video and just fade away until the next time Trump says something stupid and you can pretend it did not happen.

Linking to the video is enough. Let me guess, you cannot stand to listen to that idiotic, morbidly obese, fat f*ck any more than I do? Welcome to the club. :)

if you know anything about the community notes on twitter, then you need to realize that it's basically the same system as before, but disguised as 'community notes'.

A pretty decent way to avoid any sort of lawsuits - 'people have spoken! We had nothing to do with it!' ^^

reply

I do not know anything about community notes of twitter. Tell me more?

watch this for starters

reply

Instead of wasting 15 minutes of my life that I will never get back, explain why Zuckerberg says the change will lead to more harmful content on Facebook.

reply

your time is too precious, it would appear

spend it wisely - do not post on random forums.

reply

I appears that your time is also too precious to waste on that video. Why did you post the link?

reply

evidence you refuse to see - no probs though, you do you

reply

The way I see it, you have no evidence and are hoping that people waste their time on that video.

reply

explain why csays the change will lead to more harmful content on Facebook.
IS Zuckerberg saying that?
if so why has he done it?

reply

I think he is doing it to gain favor with those who have the most to lose when their BS claims are fact checked.

reply

Their AI Grok is also compromised.

reply

you need to realize that it's basically the same system as before, but disguised as 'community notes'.

Exactly.

reply

No he didn't, he's replacing them with "community notes"; same thing.

reply

If it is the same thing, then why is Zuckerberg claiming that more harmful content will appear on Facebook?

Is it like when you claim that a "Trump gun grab" is the same as "no gun grab"?

reply

His idea of "harmful content" is anything that challenges the establishment narrative.

reply

It is? Did he actually says this or is it something you made up?

reply

It's a well known fact.

reply

It is so well known, then why are you the only one who knows this "fact"?

reply

Nope, you're the only that doesn't know that.
