Gal Gadot has the WRONG physique of Wonder Woman from the comics

So months after the news of Gadot's (mis)casting as Wonder Woman, her defenders (who are largely made up of fashion industry fanatics that want androgynous looking women to be as much in the media as possible) kept claiming that either she was completely right for the role as she was or that she will be just fine after she has some "intense" physical training and she will look totally different when all is said and done.

Well, after all was said and done, Gadot participated in the "Ice Bucket Challenge" so this was a very recent image of her and this is how she looked after all that "intense" physical training:

There she is in her noodle arms, chicken legs and her almost completely flat chest glory much to the delight of fashion industry fanatics.

There is a IMDB member who claimed that she looks just like how Wonder Woman does in the New 52 in some thread he/she started. Funny, since this is Wonder Woman in the New 52:

No noodle arms, chicken legs or flat chest to be found.

And even in those cases where some artist did draw Wonder Woman as some anorexic fiend, it doesn't prove anything because there are artists who get it wrong like when Rob Liefeld did this infamous drawing of Captain America:

Just because Rob Liefeld did Captain America with that bizarre looking upper body doesn't mean that's how he should be in a live action movie.

Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman is one of the worst casting decisions in Hollywood and proof of the unfortunate influence of the fashion industry over mainstream media.

If anything, let girls be skinny, let young women be skinny.
What on earth does this have to do with Wonder Woman?

You sound like someone who has real issues, and is complaining because you didn't have supportive parents that made you feel secure growing up. Well, I'm sorry, but what does that have to do with a SUPERHERO film?

No one is saying being skinny is somehow wrong, much as what you're trying to imply. In fact, how often does Hollywood ever cast someone who isn't skinny? But there's a difference between saying a body type is okay and saying it is the epitome of what a woman or a man should look like. Wonder Woman is a superhero just like any other, so WHY is she the only person in the DC cast being played by a skinny underwear model with next to zero acting talent or experience, while every single guy has to work their ar$e off to get into peak shape?

And then you have the audacity to call people who disagree with you misogynist!

You are precisely what is wrong with modern feminism. You're self-entitled, and cry victim whenever things don't go your way.

Far from being misogynist, this casting could be construed as misandrist. All the male actors had to be veterans, well known, in good shape, and still has to train like crazy to buff up for the role. Their female counterpart, however, could as well have just been a name picked out of a hat from what most of us can tell.

Yeah WW should look athetic.
Sadly yes lots of artists these days draw women as anorexic or masculine look at modern carol danvers she looks like s skinny dude and for the movie larson had an ass double

I don't see an issue. It's a comic book movie character. They're all unrealistic and stupid ideas as far as I'm concerned
Iron Man: he wears a metal suit powered by an electronic device around my heart. If he's not drunk, he's arrogant
Captain America: he was given performance enhancing drugs, was frozen, and now fights aliens and conspiracy groups
Black Widow shoots 9mm guns in a fight with aliens
Hawkeye: shoots arrows in a fight against aliens
Batman: growls at bad guys, swings from a rope and wears a suit with bat ears because it would be lame If his name was "super dark guy"
Super Man: cant really be killed unless he meets a priece of the planet he was supposed to live on. He apparently loves an alien chick, but would most likely shotgun his semen through her insides if he didn't destroy her fragile bone structure before that.
Wonder Woman is as strong woman who uses a lasso to get the truth, flies in an I visible jet, and deflects bullets with bracelets.
Green lantern: just retarded
Wolverine: cant die, jas claws, smokes, and looks l I'l ke he smells.

Every super hero is a dumb idea. The fact that people are so infatuated with them is a major joke. May as well dress up like Frodo and meet another hobbit for as suckfest.

why i think Star Wars and sci fi characters are more grounded they can bleed but i am fan of Superman though

reply

It's funny because Superman used to be able to be wounded. Not physically but emotionally. That seems to have been replaced with brooding and doubt.

I look at these movies like Friday the 13th. Expect the same, enjoy the ride and don't pretend it's anything more than it is.

reply

That Captain America picture is hilariously bad.

reply

so you want pornstars who cant ac to be Heroines I'm definitely not hiring you casting director

reply

stop it, you are probably 13 years old, complaining because Gal Gadot doesn't look like Linda Carter with the huge tits and noodle legs, or like in the comics with the massive boobs and surprising athleticism... just get over it.
I think she looks great, very sexy and believable.

reply

She's fine as hell, but she's wrong for the role.

reply

I disagree, she look badass and sexy, although if your issue is that she doesn't look anything like the muscular curvaceous figures on the comics - yeah I can see your disappointment with it

reply

After watching the movie., I have to disagree. She was perfect for this role and pulled it off phenomenally.

reply

Yep. Best DC live-action movie since The Dark Knight.

You could say a similar thing about Famke Jansen, Halle Berry, Hugh Jackman, Michael Keaton, Christian Bale, or any number of other people who have played comic book characters. But it's hard to find someone who can act and who looks exactly like the character they're playing.
