It's nasty bullshit to me, not just people engaging in friendly debate about appearance. I would argue that a good portion of those chiming in are doing it for political reasons, discredit the bitch by suggesting she is trans or belittling the way she looks.

Debating about someone’s appearance is ridiculous to begin with. Completely subjective. I think she is absolutely ugly. I would like to believe Barack finds her absolutely beautiful. Guess what? Neither of us is wrong or right.
I would say it’s more pointless than shallow. I think looks are important. We can call someone shallow for focusing on looks but at the same time most people would never pursue a meaningful relationship with someone they weren’t physically attracted to in some way.
