I have no idea who decided to give her , her big break into entertainment...but seriously she is really not funny at all.

Rebel has tried an American accent only once in her career (Super Fun Night) unless, as usual, she's taking the píss. 99% of the time she is cast with, and expressly because of her Australian accent.
I don't even like her, and agree she's not funny, but your last comment proves you are ignorant. There are heaps of Aussie actors who's American accents are near flawless. Mel Gibson, Cate Blanchett, Naomi Watts, Hugh Jackman, Toni Collette, Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, the list goes on... yet there is literally not one American actor who's managed to pull off a convincing Australian accent. They all end up sounding more British.
