Bad mixed accent in Constantine

His acting is great, but his acting is bad!!!! He's supposed to be from Liverpool, the actor is actually from Swansea, his accent in this show is a mix between Swansea & Yorkshire with a bit of Irish brogue thrown in now and again for good measure! Not a hint of Scouse (Liverpool), so either this guy is really bad at accents, or he's been directed to do it like this for the American audience who probably won't understand a Scouse accent without subtitles! Confusing to say the least!!
PS I am British mongrel (English, Scottish, Welsh & Irish) and have a good ear for most dialects.

Have to agree with wayyngel - When I watched the first ep I thought he was supposed to be Irish which confused me as Hellrazer is supposed to be a Liverpudlian. Matts accent is more a mix of Irish, Welsh and Yorkshire. I am Scouse so can say his accent doesnt sound even light Scouse to me but I still enjoyed it - but like Matt better with dark hair (I know ) lol. I think they eased on "proper" Scouse as its hard for anyone to undertsand - even my friends who are Cockney have trouble understanding me - we talk so fast too so at least I can understand what hes saying lol 😀
