Not Good Enough For Doctor Who
It is a shame that all the good work which was done by Chris Eccleston and David Tennant who were the Doctors from 2005 to 2009 respectively has gradually been undone by this unknown actor called Matt Smith.
I watched or tried to watch the first three episodes of the new series of Doctor Who which aired earlier this year and I have to say that Matt Smith is one of the most annoying actors I have seen on TV.
Chris Eccleson really started to get the series back on track in 2005 but I had a feeling that he wasn't going to stay and his recent performance as John Lennon in "Lennon Naked" was absolutely terrible and very disrespecting to the memory of John Lennon - the rest of the actors who played Paul, Ringo and George were seriously miscast as well so Chris hasn't exactly gone onto bigger and better things since 2005.
David Tennant was absolutey brilliant as Doctor Who and his acting ability was excellent - the three serieses he did between 2006 and 2008 and the TV movies in 2009 which epitomised his talent and ability as excellent. I know a lot of fans of Doctor Who or those who use to be fans of the series that would like David Tennant to come back or wished that he hadn't given up the role which he had made his own over the last three to four years.
Doctor Who has gradually gone from being an excellent TV series to being one of the worse and one that I won't watch again, especially seeing that Smith is in the role and I'm now counting the days down to when he announces that he'll be leaving Doctor Who to concentrate on growing up, getting his acting talents upto a suitable standard and to stop being so incompetent.
Is there anyone who feels that Smith is totally miscast as Doctor Who and should have been given this role or is there anyone who support the decision to cast him in the role and think the show really only get better?
