shareYou really aren't, because he is very talented. If you actually saw his movies, you would have known that.
It's ironic btw that people still identify him with Twilight considering how much he hated it.
Also, not that someone like you would understand, but unknown actors don't exactly have many choices as to which movies to be in. At least Twilight gave him enough visibility to enable him to move on to bigger and better things.

shareThe guy has reinvented himself. He's becoming a talented actor, specially dealing with characters on the edge. Kind of similar to Collin Farrell style.
Is Twilight that important to you? I mean... if he's doing a good job but you can only see him as the guy from Twilight, well, I understand, that means that those movies have been extremely important to you, they've marked you someway, and you just can't move on. I don't criticize it, I never understood why those movies were so popular, but hey, for many girls Twilight was some kind of life milestone. So there's nothing bad with having such strong feelings for them. Anyway, I think you should move on. It's like keep seeing Leonardo DiCaprio as the pretty guy he was once instead of the very good actor he's now.

shareHis best acting was definitely in Twilight series, hence why the audience responded so well to him, he was perfect for the role, the same I think he's perfect to be a Batman. One of the few actors who really know how to play with body language as well. You don't need to be in high intellectual films to recognize that you are a great actor from the get go.
shareNot a fan of twilight and honestly I don’t hate it either. I kind of have a soft spot to that franchise my friends were fans of it so we never missed one on theaters and was part of us growing up together.
Actually it was funny how one of my friends after breaking down part 2 always asked me are you sure there won’t be more.? And always told her yes I’m sure the books are finished.
I see where you are coming from with Pattinson being at his best in twilight.
my favorite actor’s (RDj) performance is in The MCU.
There is nothing wrong on loving a performance or an actor from a movie franchise.
Even if they will win a prestigious award for it. They won the acceptance of the millions in that role. Doing great a character which comes from a novel or a comic book it’s Not an easy task. It’s pleasing thousands of who loved that novel and then other thousands who never read the books.
And I think Robert Pattinson will be a good Batman, Maybe he doesn’t have the body yet but he does seem like a Batman to me.
It’s just we are all used to older actors portraying Batman. The two most recent were in their 40s so having such a young one looks a little strange for some fans.
But I do have good vibe about it.
My problem is his voice is too soft and he is kinda lanky. Yes he is a good actor and its a shame Twlight is gonna always haunt him but if I had to choose dc roles for him I d pick Riddler,Constantine,Mad Hatter,Joke,orm and if he was a little younger I d say Jason Todd

I actually think he’ll be a brilliant Batman/Bruce Wayne and this is from someone who saw 20 minutes of Twilight years ago and dismissed him as a talentless shitbag.
He was brilliant in Good Time and The Lighthouse and also very effective in his small role in The King.
Once he started getting interesting roles he’s really shown what he can do, guy is a good actor.
