A Very Backstreet Holiday, which was scheduled to air Dec. 14, was set to feature Carter and bandmates Kevin Richardson, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell and Howie Dorough, as well as Seth Rogen, Meghan Trainor, Rob Riggle and Nikki Glaser, among others.

On Thursday, Carter, 42, was sued by a woman named Shannon Ruth, who alleged that she was 17 years old when Carter, then 21, sexually assaulted her on his tour bus after a concert in 2001, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE.

A source close to the singer has denied the allegations. Michael Holtz, an attorney for Carter, later added in a statement sent to PEOPLE, "This claim about an incident that supposedly took place more than 20 years ago is not only legally meritless but also entirely untrue."

See? All it takes is an accusation that something happened 20 years ago these days.

Idiots.

reply

Idiot! Previous accusation 5 years ago.

reply

Yes, and that accusation is also about an alleged incident that happened (almost) TWENTY FUCKING YEARS AGO.

"In November, Schuman, now 33, detailed the alleged incident on her personal blog, claiming that Carter had raped her in the early 2000s when she was 18 and he was 22."

Who's the idiot now?!
Jesus how embarrassing, just log off for good man.

So at the end of the day no one knows what may or may not have happened. Perhaps Carter is guilty or maybe he isn't. There should be no rush to judgement either way.

As far as ABC is concerned it's a business decision. The fact that the accusation is out there -- even though unresolved -- is enough for the executives to decide that ratings would suffer and therefore generated revenue.

The contrasting opinions that insist "she's telling the truth and the show should be pulled" vs "he's innocent until proven guilty therefore the show should be aired as planned" are both whiffing on this in my opinion.

how did she get onto his tour bus?

reply

Backstreet Boys and Nick Carter should sue ABC. People were working on that show, money were spend.

Nothing was proved. And never will be. Because its impossible. It will be dismissed.
