shareI'm sure it will be up in the air for awhile as Jaa has seemingly gone off the deep end. At the very least he had a falling out with his friend Prachyea, so its up in the air I would think right now.
Last I heard, he's finishing up the story of Ong Bak 2 in Ong Bak 3. Why IMDb doesn't list it is beyond me. I read an interview with a producer from Ong Bak 2 stating that 3 is on the way. And the reason Ong Bak 2 has a cliffhanger ending is because Jaa went diva and left the set for two months. So when the deadline hit, they had to release an incomplete movie.
You can go on the tonyjaa.org forums and ask the people there about this.

a friend from thailand told me that ong bak 2 was so long, that they cut it as 2 films. so id imagine lots of ong bak 3 is done. there were posters of ong bak 3 , like 4 months ago. its kind of a cash cow in thailand. hopefully he'll expand after this film
shareiv already seen ong bak 3 with the swords an in ancient time
it was alright.. but i wanna know what hes working on next
What you saw was Ong Bak 2, not Ong Bak 3. You must be confusing Tom Yum Goong (aka The Protector, aka The Warrior King) as being Ong Bak 2. The movie where he goes to Australia to save his elephants is Tom Yum Goong (original title). Ong Bak 2 is the one with swords in ancient times.
Ong Bak 3 will pick up where Ong Bak 2 left off. Did you notice how the movie with swords in ancient times just sort of ended without any resolve? That's because they are completing the story in part 3.

People, don't always believe what you see and hear, especially about something as varying as the movie industry and all it encompasses. Rumours can be started by anyone from the highest CEO to a person wanting to seem important. There may be a grain of truth about some part of it, but things such as Tony "going diva" are not necessarily what they seem. And there had to be some time to polish up on numerous forms and styles of martial arts. People need to also keep in mind that people are going to have disagreements and it doesn't mean the end of everything. I have no desire to be in a grueling high demand position such as Tony is in now.
Fortune might be nice but fame and the pressure it brings to get it right can be a heavy burden. Tony IS the movie. As great as the stuntmen are people probably aren't going to pay to watch them. There is an entire industry around the man and the constant awareness that he not only meet, but surpass his previous performance!
I certainly have no secret connection to information but the last I knew Ong Bak 3 was supposedly in pre production including a number of stuntmen. Who knows what will come of it but I'm counting on Tony and all those who work so hard to make the movies to come through with another fantastic film!
On the other hand there is still "Sword" which was supposedly going to be Tony's 3rd film which has all been whispered in the cinematic winds. So it's possible "Swords" could be out first but i rather doubt it.
