It'd be great if he really were saved...

But every time I look into it, the dude's just messed up.

His latest stunt is to baptize people. Fine, except he should be in the back pew learning as much as he can.

He says it may seem too soon, but the Apostles were baptizing people on "day one." I don't know of an Apostle who baptized people as soon as they started following Jesus.

He never talks about being convicted of sin, that I see. I'm told to go wading through all of his podcasts, but is that what this is about? Getting more clicks? It sure seems like it.

This smacks of that stunt by Kanye West. Or Ye. Or whatever he's calling himself now.

When he chats to Peterson it sounds like he has a depth of knowledge about Christianity, and his conversion seems authentic.

I think he’s just a naturally narcissistic attention seeker and that is blending with a genuine born again experience.

If you're saved, you're a changed human being, though. I mean, REALLY saved. If you have some knowledge and you're manic, and said the magic "Sinner's Prayer" or got "baptized saved" -- where you go down a dry sinner and come up a wet sinner -- then you act like ol' Russell does.

I wish it were true, but the longer this goes on, the more it looks like either outrageously bad teaching, or an outrageously bad act.

Yes, it would be great.

Jesus said in Matthew to not make a public display of religion and you should do things in secret.

Brand is trying to create a "brand" with religious people in the US.

It's corny and fake.
