How and when did you guys become a fan of Chris?

Just curious. I find those different stories kind of interesting.

The first movie I ever watched with Chris was Star Trek, although I didn’t really notice him at that point (my attention was more focused on Zachary Quinto and Simon Pegg at that point, being two actors I really admire) So I’ll have to say the first movie I took notice of him was Thor. And I wasn’t really keen on watching that one as the trailer kinda put me off a bit. Thinking: Ah, here comes another superhero movie with a big blond bulky guy who can’t act (don’t flame me - I was sooooo wrong) Anyway, that actually kept we away a long time until that point I had to catch up with the Hulk, Cap and Thor before The Avengers hit cinemas. So I rented those on DVD and had a Marvel night starting with Hulk and after that Captain America, leaving Thor for the next day, cause I still didn’t want to whatch that movie. Funny thing, when I finally DID watch it I thought it was the best of them all.

Still, me growing really fond of Chris was kind of an increasing process. First person I noticed was Tom Hiddleston (that scene with Odin in the weapons vault just broke my heart) making me look up his name and checking out other stuff he did. I also thought Chris did a great job. Didn’t expect that, being a little biased about him (wrongfully so). But I believed him in that scene where he tried to lift the hammer and was then captured by S.H.I.E.L.D. I felt so sorry for Thor. And Loki telling him Odin died and he wasn’t allowed back to Asgard... Still, at this point it didn’t make me check his IMDB page immediately for other movies (though I did watch Snow White and Cabin in the Woods shortly after that). But the thing that really sold me and made me admire him are all those lovely interviews with him and Tom, showing their amazing brotherly love for each other, and the fantastic chemistry they share - on AND off screen. Both of them are so talented, and I think they even raise their game when they share a scene. My favorite parts in TDW are actually Thor and Loki bickering. Also, both being amazingly nice people, happend to meet them both personally. And OMG, Chris’ voice is sooooooo amazing to listen to when you actually hear it for real.

End of story: I have fallen in love with a team. Admiring two actors I happend to discover in the same movie and will be following both their careers, very curious about what they will bring to the table in the future. Thanks for the ride so far, and looking forward to Avengers 2 (ULTRON! Yes!!!) and In the Heart of the Sea.

Wow. That was kinda long.

Anyhoo...

Care to share your own story? Would like to read about how you all came to like Chris.

I'm jealous of you two.

I wished I could say I have one who I loved before they became famous, I'm not good guessing promising actors or actresses.

I love Natalie Dormer and all the young actresses from the Tudors tv series but non of them have become a star yet, Natalie is appearing in important roles In tv shows which are not that famous because they come from cable or very small parts in big films.

Natalie Dormer, Annabelle Wallis and Tamzin Merchant are all wonderful young actresses but it's been a long time since the Tudors and nothing has happened with them.

I'm also horrible predicting big comebacks
There was a time where I was obsessed with Demi Moore and Sharon stone. But I I loved them when they were already has beens but after like a year that nothing happened with them and they are still has beens I got tired I moved on to Catherine Zeta Jones.

Catherine I love her and I still can see her making a big comeback but all the projects I predicted for het comeback failed at the box and with the critics.

I thought Rock of Ages, Broken City and playing the field were gonna be a huge hit but nothing, anyway at least she has Side Effects which was kind of successful let's see if her comeback happens soon.

Another one which I was predicting a huge comeback with the Invisible woman was Ralph Fiennes.
He is not a has been and neither has become a joke like Nicholas Cage bur I was very sure that with the Invisible woman he would go back to be a hot topic again like he was in his days of the English Patient or Schindler's list.

The invisible is not a flop but it's not Argo either.
