I think with keeping an open mind this system could actually work. It allows students more leniency to complete work. Still, not everyone will pass, but the opportunity to revisit tests and not be punished for tardiness could be very helpful and make the difference for some kids.

How is coming in late or handing in your homework late the teacher's fault? That's on the students. They're taking out losing marks for that because they're scared that non-whites will fail based on facts.
