An Interracial Fix for Black Marriage

This actress is so beautiful. Further proof she's bi-racial, which seems to me an epidemic anymore. I know of 5 girls my daughter was friends with in high school, graduated with, that recently married black men.

So you think black men and women degrading themselves infront of other races is a good thing? That is why people of other ethnicities look down on black people as self-hating twits who would marry anyone with a lighter skin complexion to get some self-esteem. Look at the world, black people always find themselves at the bottom of society, rather than uplift the community, celebrate and encourage black families, you are encouraging further destruction of the black family.

Just look at the news and watch black teenagers runing wild, rioting, looting, creating flash mobs and stealing in mass - even with cameras recording them, jobless, illiterates, etc, in single-parent households where the mom doesn't give a *bleep*, what a big shame.

Enough with the "black women are not getting married" crap! where the hell are all these trouble black kids coming from? It seems to me that those single black women have their hands full with children without fathers already, that is why they remain single. I'd suggest the number one priority of the black community should be raising these children properly, they are only contributing to the demise of the entire black race. Black people have a massive problem, which is the destruction of the black family, we should deal with that first before encouraging dumb and stupid interracial relationships which is often encouraged and practiced by those self-hating blacks who wish to leave the "sinking ship" and dissociate themselves from the community. Also note, that biracial children ARE NOT black, so don't even try to claim them as black. This woman isn;t black, she is BIRACIAL!

I say this as a black man, a big shame on any black person that encourages interracial marriage.

Am I the only person that reads hoov-4's posting here as totally racist? He says Lucas is beautiful and bi-racial, bi-racial is an epidemic proved by his daughter's friend's marrying black men. Sounds racist to me unless I have misread his thoughts somehow. So what's the problem with the daughter's friend's marrying black me?

As far as dark-skinned blacks despising the mixing of races - well it seems just as bad as white racists denouncing the exact same practice - for the same reasons no less! Fear of cultural and racial oblivion. I think all races and colors and shades of color are sexy and feel that this life is a hard enough one without having to hold the responsibility of your entire race on your shoulders. I think it is a little ridiculous to even think that someone should. If a person is able and lucky enough to find someone they love (that loves them back) and want to create a family with, than by all means, they should be allowed to do so without fear of recrimination by others that feel a different set of duties or inclinations. To each their own. We are all far more similar than different, and though I understand having a love of one's cultural and/or ethnic heritage, I also believe that some day, maybe we will all be mixed enough to the extent that thinking in terms of race (protecting for it or protecting against it) will be antiquated thinking and laughed at in it's irrelevance sometime in humankind's future...

the only thing i could do was be me and keep on keeping on, like a bird that flew...

As a black women, all you have to do is to look at American history to see why black people have so many problems--a long history of being stomped over by racism as well. We didn't just wake up and start having these problems on our own. And, sorry, but it dosen't matter how biracial Lucas is, here in America she's only seen as a lovely black women,period. FYI,you said you were Canadian---black people here in America already know what out problems are and have been trying to solve them forever in our own communities--you just never hear about it on the news, that's all. It sure as hell dosen't mean we haven't been doing anything about it. And,BTW, some of those flash mobs of folks looting were white kids, too, so don't act like it was only black kids doing it. Hell, just over a month ago,there was a bunch of either white or Mexican kids caught actually pretending to have accidents by dropping and spilling gallons of milk all over a supermarket aisle---they thought that s*** was funny and were dumb enough to film themselves doing it and put it online---which got them arrested and having to pay damages.

FYI, I have a biracial sister and several biracial nieces and nephews, and they are all proud of who they are. So there isn't anything "dumb" or stupid" about interracial relationships--they're a part of life, so would you please GTFOOH with that bull****? This is the 21st century---and FYI, all interracial marriages aren't about somebody wanting to just get with a white partner---however, Asian-Americans marry white folks at a higher rate than anyone else in the States, mainly because a lot of them have bought into that whole the "white man is automatically better since they run everything" bull****. Hell,even Latina/os and other people of color buy into that RACIST bull**** NOT just black people. Seriously,even though I totally agree everything you say about how black people are treated in films, you come off like you hate black people. I mean, damn, I'm from Detroit where despite the violence and crime, you got people here who fight to make the city a better place all the damn time/uplift the community, and get a lot of credit in the local media here, but the national media would rather her about how *beep* the city is rather than see any of the good things that are also going on---I see them happen all the time.

And black people have been traditionally at the bottom of the ladder economically because white folks fought like hell to KEEP us there since they brought us here in chains as their chattel slaves. We were never supposed to compete with them in the first damn place. We aure as hell didn't want to be there or stay there, but that's how THEY wanted it for the first 300 years we broke our damn backs in the fields to make this country what it is. We have a totally different history from Canadian black people, so remember that---we don't need a brother from somewhere dogging us the hell out---particularly if you can't contribute any solutions to the problem. To me, anybody who can't do that just needs to shut the hell up then---and frankly, you aren't saying anything black folks haven't already heard since the time we're been here.

@Hoov-4

So you're saying she's only beautiful because she's biracial? That's some bull**** right there, I mean c'mon. That whole "mixed kids are just naturally born beautiful" is a myth. Especially since people only seem to say that about kids who are white biracial---the racist implication being that they're automatically better because they're part white. Here's why that whole idea is a myth:

OK, call me every name, but it sounds unbelievable to me. Which part of America do you live in? Or more precisely, what kind of friends did your girl used to have when going to school? Are you not just another black person who tries to propagandize interracial relationship?

I think this is a really ugly topic, but I'm not aware of black people overly promoting interracial relationships. The vast majority of interracial couples I see usually involves a white person and some other non-white ethnicity. Same goes for the relationships depicted in movies and TV shows with white men and asian women being one of the more common ones.

And then I think about a movie like Hancock where the only way for Will Smith to retain his super power and save Charlize Theron is to stay as far away from her as possible (Will Smith produced that movie BTW). If anything the black community is certainly tolerant of interracial relationships but still has a huge problem with them and gay couples. I mean do you think Obama would have been elected as president had his wife been white? I seriously doubt it.

Don't try to cash in love, that check will always bounce.
