It works for Always Sunny where he's essentially playing himself, but man what a douche nozzle. Dude needs some serious humbling.

What exactly in his podcast happend for you to say this?
I'm just asking.
I actually listened to the first episode and I got some weird vibes from it so I didn't listen to more episodes.
The first few were absolutely terrible - they spent most of the time apologising for what they'd done in the episodes, in terms of today's sjw warrior world, so it wasn't particularly fun listening.
However maybe after about 10 or so, they added cameras, started doing it in ever improving settings and it was actually pretty good / funny.
I don't agree with the OP though. I think to an extent they maybe are exaggerations of themselves on the show but Glenn quite often has acknowledged some of his character failings and been quite humble about his asshole-ry.
That's exactly why I stopped at the first episode.
They were criticizing so much their own show, and regretting so many things, I thought "what is this? Do I need to be here listening to regrets on episodes that I found funny and completely acceptable because it's a COMEDY?"
It gets way way way better and more insightful. Then after about 3/4 of the way through episodes it goes to shit again. Stopped listening at that point.
