When she tells him to "fuck off" it may be involuntary, but she really means it. She has no filter. But to say those expressions are neutral and separate from her is a canard.
He's also laughing at her. That's not mockery?
Good on Cuomo for airing that though.
i think i would have laughed also
shareAs a journalists he should be able to control himself.
sharei think we know why no one has ever tried it before.
shareGood point. Give him credit for that.
Damn, it must suck to have that condition. I'm amazed that girl is able to keep herself looking that good.
why is it always the fuck word? why isn't it sugar.
shareIn my line of work I've worked with many children with Tourette's. What you're seeing in that video is more of the Hollywood version of the syndrome, where people use complete phrases like that. In real life Tourette's typically involves ticks like cocking the head, clenching neck muscles, or maybe uttering a single word like sound like f*** or s*** or things like "pew," though in a distorted way that sounds more like f ck (literally an f sound and then a quick ck sound). Supposedly more elaborate versions do exist, but when they are on a source like this that is trying to sell views I'm incredibly skeptical about the authenticity.
shareit aired live
shareAnd? You don't think people with Tourette's aren't familiar with the cliché assumptions about their disorder and try to feed into it to for positive reactions from people?
She definitely is and figured out how to utilize it to entertain people. This is totally normal for people with the condition, and makes some sense for a method of turning it into a positive trait, but at the same time it undermines what it actually involves and turns it into something for people to laugh at. It's unhealthy and Chris Cuomo is a douchebag for encouraging it for some cheap views.
If this is an act, this girl is brilliant.
shareI thought it was entertaining and that young lady is very brave.
shareI watched that full video. While this person may have Tourette's, they are obviously milking it for views and attention when they throw things in like "I don't want to f*** your mother" and claim it's part of their condition. I get where the person is coming from, but it's kind of sad that they are exploiting their condition for views like this. Most people with Tourette's probably aren't decent looking young females and won't be able to use their condition to get internet views and attention in the manner that she has.
Shame on Chris Cuomo for going with a cheap ticket to views like this. Though since he's lost all credibility I guess this is about his only option.
Haha. Interesting take. So you're saying Cuomo is a bit of a bottom feeder now. I definitely support his termination from CNN for doing cover up for a politician. But the Governor is his brother. So it's understandable. Blood is thicker than ...
I was taken aback that he laughed at her. Should we laugh at people with disabilities?
I agree with you. Either this chick is faking it for popularity on her channel. Or Cuomo is a douche. Or both.
I confess I know little about Tourette's and as such I withhold judgement. It seems too little to be of a boost for Cuomo's career though.
