I vow to never see another one
Tenet was a disaster, 100% due to Denzel Jr.
Amsterdam was ok totally in spite of him.
I’m done. I was looking forward to both movies. He sucked the joy from both.

I was partially interested in Amsterdam because of Christian Bale (usually willing to watch anything he's in).
That Washington kid was 200% miscast in Tenet, and it sounds like he carried over his personality-free acting into Amsterdam, too.
As usual Christian Bale is great and the actors around him can’t keep up. It’s especially painful to watch with Denzel Jr. A more competent actor like, say, Terrence Howard would have made the movie more enjoyable.
shareI thought he did a good job in both films.
shareI disagree, Washington carried the weight of Tenet’s narrative remarkably well.
shareTenet was a "disaster" i.e. underperformed (365 million on a 200 million budget) at the box office because it had the bad luck of being a limited release at the peak of covid lockdown hysteria. I was very confused why certain people were oddly dismissive of this movie because when I actually watched the film, which I would describe as an intriguing Sci Fi Bond film, I really enjoyed it. Washington carried his own and Robert Pattinson was surprisingly very good, with their combined charisma helping to push the narrative forward. It's by far Nolan's most underrated film & I'd tank it in his top 5.
