Someone who calls herself "True North" on Twitter pointed this out:
"I suspect Trump knows it's over, he'll never be on the ballot w/these legal proceedings taking place. Some states don't allow a candidate to be listed on the ballot, if they are under criminal prosecution. Trump isn't doing anything compared to his very active former campaigns"
I'd wondered what was up with how Trump was campaigning...or rather, NOT campaigning. This could be what's going on. Of course, he'd never admit this to his followers. The money would dry up.
Anyone paying attention can tell this is B.S. political persecution. Even acclaimed Harvard professor and lifelong democrat Alan Dershowitz denounced this as a witch hunt
Regardless of what you think of him, he taught at the most prestigious law school in the world for decades an he has given his legal opinion on this matter. I am inclined to side with him.
People accuse me of being a pompous ass, but I am not going to sit down and be quiet when I know I am right. Most people are effing idiots that don't know their elbow from their arsehole and they depend on the few intelligent people out there to at least point them in the right direction.
I was telling you what "True North" said. I gave it a look, and as my husband said, we're all innocent until proven guilty -- so you have to be convicted before any state is going to bar you from the ballot.
Some think this is to keep him from being elected. But the timing seems more like it's to keep all eyes on Trump instead of the guy in the White House, who has enough to get him impeached. Now, the big question is whether McCarthy has the cojones.
List of McCarthy’s weaknesses and lack of cojones:
1. Required intervention to become speaker
2. Promised tapes and cowered after he saw they went after Tucker
3. Promised to eliminate the 70+k of weaponized IRS agents but coward from that too
4. Caved to Biden on debt ceiling negotiation

Remember in one of my previous replies where I mentioned that since they stole the election and after he left office, it was critical for the true enemies to expose and reveal themselves.
This is what I was referring to if you watch Tucker Carlson’s 3rd episode, you will hear him mention the following:
Tucker goes on to say right then Trump was going to have a hard time controlling Washington even if he got elected. Washington decided that thwarting Trump was the single most important mission.
He goes on to say the globalists in Trump’s administration played nice with him until the moment he was out of power and no longer needed.
Now we see the results. Trump is fighting without the help of those who were supposed to help him.
The legal proceedings are all over? My word, that was quick! And just the other day Trump was complaining that the legal proceedings were designed to keep him from campaigning! I didn't think he meant for just a couple of weeks! So what was he howling about?
🙄
No, the legal proceedings are not over. IF, once they're over, Trump is elected President with nothing to give them the warrant for yet another impeachment, then you can start crowing. As it is, Trump may well have been legally out-manuvered with the Democrats' lawfare, which was my point.
And, as you say above, "if Trump wins again, everyone will be working against him on day 1." If the voters realized that, they'd find another candidate with less baggage. But the way the Dems are playing the game now, they'll tie up any GOP President from day one. Trump just gives them extra ammunition.
Will DJT be on the ballot on all the states for November? That's the one that's crucial. That ballot we haven't seen yet.
Trump's an insider. He picked the ultimate insider to set Covid policy. In fact, his Covid policy was the same that Biden used. Biden just doubled-down on it. He's such an insider that he's even promised to continue breaking the bank to pay for Ukraine. Seriously. He doesn't like to rock the Democrats' boat.
He'll be better than Biden on energy and the border, but other than that, he'll govern like the Uniparty lifetime Democrat he is. The real outsider was the one whose name rarely got mentioned. The one so unknown that if someone types RDS your mind goes blank.
Are you really this stupid? Trump's Covid policy was to create an improperly tested vaccine, suppress ivermectin as the cure that it is, lock down the country, and destroy the economy -- the one thing he had going for him. Then he chose to jack up the deficit spending with his bailouts, ensuring that we'd have runaway inflation.
In short, he governed like a 1990's Democrat. Biden just doubled-down on the Democrat policies, is all.
Ramaswamy is a joke. Just today he was raving about anyone who wouldn't vote for Trump was going to have to answer to George Washington in the afterlife. Even fans of his on X were saying he was coming unglued.
You need to stick to all of the facts. But Trumpfans make it a point not to know them. That's how they can sustain their unquestioning love for him.
Fact: We have two madly spending geriatrics with an unending commitment to Ukraine -- a bottomless money pit. Trump's last term was a disaster and didn't have to be because scientists explained what a miracle drug IVM was, but Trump rejected it for his "miracle" vaccine. He can't have saved the world if a cheap pill like IVM could do a better job. Trump ruined the country; Biden made it worse. Neither one thinks they did anything wrong, so they'd do it again. Trump has only two points on which he's better than a progressive -- energy independence and the border. But other than that, either one will destroy what's left of the country while making a tin-pot dictator in Ukraine rich.
