Trump approval on economy at new high: Liberals on Suicide Watch

His 'overall approval' (including the economy and every other factor of his presidency) has skyrocketed to 42% ! That's about as high as he gets in approvals, and then circles back down to the mid 30s.

For a President who went through a two year investigation, had his AG write a fake report from the investigation, and declared himself 'fully exonerated', his approval should be about 40 points above that. It should be in the mid 70s - low 80s by now. But no - Americans see right through him. He's stuck where he began - mid 30s / low 40s.

What an incredible embarrassment for someone in their third year.

reply

Yes, as a (mostly) Liberal I am on suicide watch...eagerly awaiting the imminent self-inflicted demise of various members of the corrupt Trump Administration, and a no-doubt impending one (figuratively) for crooked and insane Donnie himself.

The truth ALWAYS comes out eventually.

reply

LOL !

His % is somewhere between 46-51% depending what poll you look at. Not too different from your hero Obama at this point in his Presidency.

Its a shame the left roots against Trump and the country. The economy is killing it! Get yourself a job and make some of that $$$

Bullsh!t. This site averages in over 2 dozen recent, verified, authenticated polls from around the USA. He's below 46% in most polls.

Even if we went by your numbers - 46-51% - that's still 30 points lower than where he should be.

And there's no comparison between him and Obama in any shape or form. (Hint: Obama wasn't the subject of a criminal invesitigation for two years, and then paid his AG to lie for him once the report was released.)

As for getting myself a job - I have one, thank you! That T-rump University degree has come in handy, wouldn't you say?

reply

Trump's approval rating should be 80%? Name a President with that high of an approval rating for any extended period of time. You are delusional. Where do you come up with this stuff

reply

Agreed lol

reply

T-rump has boasted the economy has never been it better shape than now - under him. T-rump has also said he has the lowest unemployment rate than any other president, and the highest number of minorities employed under him. Not to mention he has proclaimed himself 'totally exonerated' after a two year investigation which he payed 'a victim'.

Yes, with all these achievements he has boasted about in the past few weeks, his approval ratings should have skyrocketed into the 70s-80s percent right now, not drag in the low 40s. \

But Americans are too smart for him - remember that, RussianBot.

poor doogie and his minions are in damage control now.

Republicans are living in a bubble created by conservative media that's still pretending that the Mueller report exonerated Trump and that Barr has been telling the truth. Bizarro world.

reply

Who cares? Honestly, you Trumpers boast about an economic upturn that few of you benefit from in any way, shape or form. You know who's benefiting? The wealthy. That's really about it.

This "boom" of jobs? Guess what they most comprise of? Low wage food service, factory and retail jobs. The real jobs that support families, put food on the table, etc are still scarce out there.

If you Trumpers didn't have the economy to boast about you'd literally have nothing else. So, unless you're well off, you really don't stand to gain a damn thing from this "boom" in the economy. You're just another Trump stan looking for a way to shove your nose a little further up his orange rectum for some deranged reason.

Again--who cares about what he's doing for economy? The reason most people in the world hate him is because he's a nasty, bullying, racist, bigoted, xenophobic, corrupt, unhinged, authoritarian, megalomaniac psychopath who wants to set our free nation on a dictatorial path. And, scariest of all, many of you Trumpers would be a-OK with Trump assuming a dictatorship which, in essence, makes you guys as anti-American as it gets.

I'm not a big fan of liberals myself but they are, without a shadow of a doubt, the lesser of two evils in our current national situation. No doubt in my mind. To see people--GROUPS OF PEOPLE actually say: "I wouldn't mind us isolating ourselves like North Korea" I know which side sounds the craziest.

reply

Isn't he saddling future generations with incredible debt?

reply

Yep. His supporters are too stupid to think that far ahead, though. They just hear the words "booming economy" and their little Trumper eyes glow.

Not retail jobs. As of April 15, American retailers have announced the closing of 6,000 stores by the end of this year - surpassing the big wipe-out of 2018. This is putting thousands of workers in the unemployment line - Payless Shoes has let go 16,000 employees from its store closings - but T-rump is ignoring this.

reply

Bankruptcy Donnie at his best.

reply

Increasing our debt lowers unemployment. If Obama increases our debt to lower unemployment using a bailout then republicans get all stupid and declare him a Socialist. If Trump increases our debt to lower unemployment by giving tax breaks to corporations then republicans cheer him as an economic savior.

The key difference is Obama lowered unemployment to rebound from a crippling recession. Which is to say not an easy accomplishment. Trump lowered unemployment in a stable economy where unemployment was already heading downward. Obama raised our debt to end a recession. Trump raised our debt to increase the bank accounts of himself and his billionaire buds. Very big difference. And like flies to shit you all declare him a savior for it.

Liberals aren't on any kind of suicide watch because right at this second the economy and employment are not imploding... yet. The implosion will happen when the middle class get tired of paying for the wealthy's tax cut. Of course Trump will be out of office examining his bank accounts with a grin on his face by the time that happens. Thats when all you Trumpers will be pretending you never supported the guy just like you did after Bush.

reply

The difference is that these Trump supporters are WAAAAAYYY more embarrassingly stupid than Bush supporters.

This is the first time in my life I've ever felt embarrassed to be an American because of a group of president supporters.

reply

I fear its generally the same people. Its just that they are more open with their stupidity because the president is incapable of hiding his own.

reply

Yeah since they don't understand the technical details, they swallow the elitist GOP propaganda faithfully.

reply

The economy was not stable in 2016 until after the election.

"...in 'THIS' economy" was the go to phrase about how bad the economy was during the 7 3/4 years of Obama.

The memory hole is strong these days.

reply

Only one problem: the liberal elites aren't dying fast enough.
