Crooked Manafort's been giving T-rump updates on Mueller's investigation

All fingers point to Crooked Manafort seeking a pardoning from T-rump, as it was revealed he's been giving T-rump's team the 'inside scoop' on the Mueller investigation. He decided to do this 'questionable' maneuver despite the fact that he pledged to cooperate with Mueller in return of a lighter prison sentence.

The President's lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who usually cracks under 'no pressure', confirmed the Manafort dealings in an interview with The New York Times. Giuliani also confirmed he's been getting regular briefings from Kevin Dowling, Manafort's attorney who's been dealing with Mueller.

The plea deal with Mueller evaporated on Monday, when Mueller announced the deal was off due to "lies and crimes" put forth by Manafort the past few months, and recommended Manafort get no credit for a lighter prison sentence. A detailed report from Manafort is pending.

reply

I'm gonna call him Manafork, because MAN, he is FORKED!

reply

Lol!!

reply

The orange hog announced today that "A pardon for Manafort is NOT off the table" so it's clear what the agenda is here.

reply

And it’s clear that could be a case of obstruction of justice depending on when he first proposed this.

reply

I'm thinking that Corsi guy received the same "talk". His "I'd rather rot in jail than help Mueller" comment says it all.

There is a prevailing theory that Uncle Rudy has been giving some of them the "keep your mouth shut and Donnie will get you out of this" speech.

It's like a bad movie playing out before our eyes.

reply

I think you're absolutely right. There's something going on with Rudy as the messenger - and I hope they lock him up, too !

reply

Dirty old Rudy as usual.

reply

Would be so fitting if Corsi ended up rotting in jail because Trump failed to pardon him.

Should have taken that slap on the wrist plea when you had a chance you schmuck. But his right wing certifiable loon set fan base would eat him alive and he knows it.

reply

I know. It would be beautiful.

You know what else I've been thinking would be funny for the longest time? This: Trump ends up being found NOT guilty of Russian collusion but gets pegged with obstruction. That would be so poetic because it would mean all these years of ranting, raging and raving over this probe only for it to turn out to be nothing but he gets himself in trouble for obstruction. Would be poetic justice: Donald doing himself in with his own big, fat mouth and paranoia.

Some have suggested that Corsi DOES have some deep Russian ties--deep enough that he's AFRAID of Russian repercussions if he spills the beans. Now, I personally think that sounds a little "out there" but then again...so does Trump's ENTIRE presidency.

reply

Well the entire notion he would rather "rot in jail" is pretty out there too. It's so far out there in fact that it forces you to consider why he'd make such a ridiculous statement.

In that context, the fear of Russian repercussions doesn't sound so outlandish. That doesn't necessarily mean his fears are grounded in reality. He's such a conspiratorial loon he might actually believe he's in danger of Kremlin blowback due to an inflated sense of self importance. I have a hard time believing the Kremlin would bother to devote time, resources, and risk to punish a peon nobody like him.

reply

Interesting. Do you think Manafort is justified in fearing what Russia will do to him and his family?

reply

He has far greater reason to fear because of the volumes of circumstantial evidence available to us that Manafort has wittingly acted as a Kremlin asset as essentially a spy for Russia. Putin clearly doesn't take kindly to traitors. He obviously has the goods to take down the house, especially with the recent reports he met with Assange 3 times and this was all documented by Ecuadorian intel from their bugs in the embassy.

But it's hard to fathom right now how Corsi is in that deep with the Russians. But it is a good question why he's so willing to act as Roger Stone's alibi of who he got the doc dump leak info from, even if his story that he just "figured it out" is a total joke. Maybe he fears Roger Stone. After all, Stone did threaten Credico in an email "Prepare to die you cocksucker". Maybe witness intimidation by Stone got to Corsi.

reply

Good points! Thanks!

reply

Sounds like it's either that or the "Uncle Rudy says "Hush!" Trump will pardon you soon!" speech. Trump is definitely crooked enough to pardon all of them. He's already writing up his "Mueller is a troubled investigator gone rogue" narrative and his dumb supporters would be 100% on board with pardons for everyone.

reply

Last night on MSNBC, they made some good points about the state of NY taking on Donnie Diapers, Ivanka, Jared and Eric if there are criminal charges of any kind to be filed (and they're quite certain there will be!). That way - at the state level - daddy can't pardon any of them.

reply

Great. Even if the fatass were to shut Mueller's probe down it STILL wouldn't stop the indictments if it's state level. Awesome!

reply

Thing is, the only exception placed on a president's pardoning power in the Constitution is "in Cases of Impeachment." That translates to meaning that any pardon issued cannot affect the impeachment process, he can't be pardoning co-conspirators in his own crimes he's getting impeached over.

So should Trump be served Articles of Impeachment in the House, bye bye to any hope by Manafort, Corsi, Stone, and anyone else hoping a pardon might save them from ever getting one.

That might be the most compelling reason for Dems to try to impeach him anyway, even if chances of success look slim to none. It might be the only channel to forcing his co-conspirators to plea out instead of attempting to rely on a pardon to get out of providing honest testimony.

2019 is going to be one interesting year...

reply

And we thought 2018 was exhausting!

reply

They’re the biggest bunch of morons walking this earth.

reply

It's fun to watch them tighten their own nooses. As with Nixon, it's the obstruction of justice that nails them. Yet they keep on doing it.

reply

I think OOJ is going to get him in the end. He's tempted the Gods of Justice way too many times.

reply

This whole epoch really drives home how lawless and corrupt a president can act in open sight, yet is allowed to repeatedly re-offend because the wheels of bringing a criminal president to justice turn SOOOOO SLOWLY.

reply

It's called a joint defense agreement and is very common under the law.

reply

He was also under a “ plea deal” with strict rules of conduct of behavior. A judge will soon decide if he violated those rules.

reply

He didn't according to the lower courts.
