Is a second civil war coming?

I think it's possible. There are four things that trigger a civil war in my mind:

1. Dems losing the 2018 mid-terms and starting violence
2. Dems losing the 2020 presidential election and starting violence
3. Dems impeaching Trump, leading to the right starting a violent revolt
4. The US government trying to ban and confiscate guns, leading to a wide-spread revolt of all gun owners.

I feel like the first three are the more likely scenarios based on current events. The last one is just a theoretical future situation.

Only if people continue to allow The Republicans and the Democrats to be divisive..
Politicians are all so hungry for power that dividing Americans is their strategy and the majority of people need to wash their hands of both extremes and come together.

I've seen the left iterate these lines more than a few times already, "Those that make peaceful protest impossible, make violent revolution inevitable."

Anyway, we should start it soon imo. Ideologies are too far apart or getting there. All of this (imo) started under Obama or rather built up under his reign. It then exploded when Trump took the leash. Then you got one side claiming voter fraud while the other claiming voter suppression. One thing to give credit to Trump is showing how corrupt and pro party vs country the senators are now (Trump endorsing Ted Cruz etc.).

Odd, the only thing I recall seeing over and over and over again is militant Reich-wingers saying they're armed and ready to fight some fantasy revolution from the "left."

I actually see Reich-wingers fantasizing about getting chances to "justifiably" kill "leftists" far more often than anyone should be comfortable with.

They're not war fantasies, they're MURDER FANTASIES. A user I used to think was normal on here, she tossed that all in the trash by posting a murder fantasy about someone in a Youtube video she thought was a "leftist," justifying the murder with him holding a metal rod, even though he wasn't threatening anyone or using it as a weapon.

Sick crap. All her credibility vanished and she was labeled a Deplorable, by her own admission.

If there was one the republicans/conservatives would win because the leftists wouldn't be as experienced with guns.
