I read on the Vampire Diaries trivia that Ashley was offered a role and turned it down. I wonder which one and why she'd turn it down? Especially if it was a main character.
Of course, her other show got kind of screwed (Hellcats) on CW, so maybe that's why. Or maybe it was just a one-episode deal, I don't know.

And she refused for the reasons you said, CW totally screwed Hellcats, the show premiered with high ratings but they began to fill weeks with unnecessary hiatus and audience interest was gone.
damn i would have liked to see her on TVD's though but i also loved her show Hellcats & understand why she had to turn it down :/

I liked Hellcats in the beginning, but it just became really bad towards the end. The writing was just terrible- I don't think you can blame CW.
I'm also not sure if she could've been Rebekah. The character has a strong presence, which Ashley doesn't have.
I was so surprised she had offered TVD,because I've also read trivias on Pretty Little Liars and she had offered a audition for the role,IDK which one,but it's also descried she turned dowm because of Hellcats which was canccelled already.Two shows she offered still continue but her appeared show were ended,What a sarcasm.
