His acting range in series Crime makes me wonder what he would have been like as Wolverine..

I've seen Scott in a couple of things, but watching his acting range in the drama Crime really makes me wonder how he would have been as Wolverine.

I think he would have knocked it out of the park and captured the rage of the comic Wolverine if not better than Jackman, then at least as well.

He can really pull up this extremely menacing look when he needs to. I think the question would have been if he would have been willing to pack on the muscle for the role like Jackman did.

(Like many others, many years ago, my first thought for the movie role was that of Bob Hoskins - a younger Hoskins.)

I agree I could definitely see why they wanted him for the role, he probably would have been brilliant.

I can see him being far more effective than Hugh Jackman just as well. I feel like his version of Wolverine would have come off a bit more menacing. It's kind of interesting to consider how these castings would have ultimately turned out.

I always thought that Temuera Morrison (Once Were Warriors) would have been a good wolverine as well

I could also definitely see Dougray playing a good Sabretooth as well

Strange to think had DScott been Wolverine he'd have had pretty much Jackmans career as the XMen films wouldve most likely followed same trajectory as happened, just with DS as Logan (who would now be filming Deadpool 3) and he'd have most likely been in some other Jackman stuff like Swordfish, Van Helsing, Prestige as the roles would've just gone to the cool Wolverine actor

and Jackman would've most likely remained a theatre/musical actor, unknown to movie audiences (unless he'd somehow broken through in a musical movie like Les Mis)
