Is anybody weary of the coverage now?
I am beginning to lose interest, and just look forward to Monday. My goodness, the Queen has done more traveling dead than in her final days alive.

The coverage is obscene. It's like North Korea.
shareYes it has reached the level of farce. I've been particularly amused by all of the spontaneous "fainting" and the atmospheric "miracles" associated with her passing. So much for the mature debate about the future of the Monarchy that was supposed to be had after her death.
are the vapors starting to spread? lol
shareYeah, it's bordering on obscene now (and other than the occasional interview with some sycophant spouting the usual platitudes...it's mostly ariel shots of roads and buildings) Thankfuly, I don't watch TV (but every news channel I happen to glance upon, is pretty much 24/7 with roughly the same headlines, interviews and/or footage all across the board) They'd stand a better chance, giving the entire event, it's own channel?
I have nothing against the Queen (she served both her country and purpose, allbeit in a different time and circumstance) However, I think the entire monarchy should now be scrapped (given that neither Charles or William are as impartial as she once was, and will likely just parrot whatever the next 'new-thing' is) Nor is the country as 'great' or 'British' as it once was, when she reigned. Any future monarch would now be ruling (largely) over a country (devoid of any singular identity) chock full of mass-immigration, knife-crime and woke agendas ..a far cry from the once great 'Britaninia, that Elizabeth II reigned over?
HOW DO YOU NOT WATCH TV BUT GLANCE UPON ENOUGH NEWS CHANNELS TO KNOW THEY ARE 24/7 WITH COVERAGE?
shareDon't know if you're aware, but TV's are in most places nowadays (pubs, waiting rooms, canteens, workplaces as well as other peoples homes that I may visit)
Of course you know that Kowalski...but you're just adding to your (already pointless and asinine) post count (as per usual)
UM...I GO A LOT OF PLACES...I DO NOT SEE TELEVISIONS PLAYING THE NEWS IN ANY WAITING ROOMS,WORKPLACES OR PEOPLES HOMES....CANTEENS AND PUBS?...THAT IS DIFFERENT...I DO NOT DRINK AND IF I DID I WOULD NOT GO TO A DARK ROOM TO DRINK AMONGST OTHERS.
shareTimes and countries change. I am not a UK citizen, nor a royalist, but have faith Charles will do a decent job over time. Native Chicagoan here , but have been interested in the global royal life since viewing Charles and Di's wedding as a young girl.
I also get tired of ad naseum interviews when someone famous dies.
I have to disagree about Charles. He appears to be a man ahead of his time. Plenty of people made fun of him when he warned about climate change, took an interest in the environment, urban removal and conservation. And modern architecture is ugly! He was proven right. He has his own ideas like scaling down the monarchy. I'm sure he'll be a wonderful king.
England does pageantry right. I wouldn't get rid of the monarchy which attracts tourism.
Not me, I'm fascinated! I heard that the line to pay respects at the coffin is now five mile's long and it takes 25 hours to get from one end to the her, yet people keep queuing up. I've watched some of the live feed from the Lying In State, and people who've stood in.line that long are all perfectly behaved - no fights, no selfish, no lingering, no drama, just a hectare of respect and they pass on and let the next person do the same.
Nothing on Earth would ever motivate my American country to behave so beautifully, it's definitely a glimpse into another sort of world. I don't know if it's a better world or just one with better manners, or maybe it's real love and/or genuine respect.
I've not watched much but it's on all radio news programs and extra programs and it all feels genuinely, quietly respectful. Looking at the live feed at Westminster is also oddly compelling.
shareThe live feed is oddly compelling, all these totally ordinary people who've stood in line for a full day quietly bowing or saluting, and then just as quietly moving on. Americans would be shoving each other or taking rude selfies, but the British just pay their respects and move on.
I want to know what the crowd is going to be on the weekend, when everyone's off work and free to join The Queue Of All Time! Will the line reach the suburbs, or the coast? Will the nation be rocked by a scandal when someone actually does something rude? I would SO join, if I weren't in California and scheduled to do my job!
Well if you watch that much TV you’re a brain dead loser who should probably get a life. Just sayin.
