Ive always liked him...but..his work on Boardwalk Empire and Hannibal is seriously impressive.

actually his performance in funny games and last says are amazing yes he is so good in Broadwalk Empire and Hannibal but for me his performances in Funny Games and Last Days are special

Agreed. I finally got round to watching Boardwalk Empire. I've just finished the second season and that last episode gave me chills. I can't imagine liking the rest of the series as much without him.

Believe me, the rest of the series is not nearly as good without Michael Pitt. JMO

A lot of people felt that way - the ratings declined ever since the end of the second season. I think the show suffered a lot when Pitt left, because there was never an actor that brought the same magnetism that he brought to screen. There was also never a character that was as interesting as Jimmy.
