Was amazing in The Place Beyond The Pines
I loved his portrayal in The Place Beyond The Pines of a former bank robber with a heart of gold, and after this film and The Dark Knight Rises, I look forward to Ben's future work.

shareI agree he was amazing in TPBTP. In fact, I think he was not only beyond amazing, I think he was the best thing in the movie. I really loved the film. It was filmed in my home town, which made it even more desirable. Best part about the movie was getting turned on to Ben. What a marvelous actor. He is the best thing in every movie I have watched that he is in. Move over Messers. DiNiro and Hoffman. I'm even going to knock Mr. Bale down a wrung or two. Ben is the greatest actor of the 21st century. Hands down.
shareYes, he really was great in it. Very impressed.
shareTotally agree, he was fantastic in this... the best role I have seen him in by far, albeit he normally plays unlikeable characters where as here he was a criminal but with a bit of a heart. Followed him since he was in the Henderson Kids in 85? he done more work than any of the others in that apart from Kylie of course.
shareAgreed. He was amazing. A great face and he is aging very well. He has this ''thing'' and I couldn't keep my eyes off him. Hope to see him in more films in the future.
For relaxing times, make it Suntory time.
He was brilliant in The Place Beyond the Pines. He was my favorite part of the movie.
shareHis performance in this movie really moved me. It is the best acting I've ever seen. I've even watched some of his other movies figuring that was just how he is naturally, but nope. Dude was just amazing. So natural. I've even cut up his scenes so I can watch again, it's really inspiring.
shareHe's even better in Killing Them Softly

True, he really steals every scene he's in. In that film and in Animal Kingdom, as well as Pines, he just steals every scene he's in.
