How? Well, she was born in September 1979 and was still alive in September 2009... and 2009-1979 = 30.
Not that she's ancient, but does look about in her late teens/early 20s, doesn't she? Some age better than others.

I was born in 1986... I was watching Matchstick Men and I seen she was 14 and looked up her and seen she was born in 1979. Matchstick Men is 2003 so that made her 23-24 during the production of the movie and she was portraying a 14 year old.

Yeah, I feel your pain (from over a year and a half ago). I just came here to see how old she was in the middle of the movie to see how she compared to the just introduced Angela character's age and now I already know something I shouldn't know. Sheesh. Once I saw her real age, I should have stopped and resumed watching. I always tell myself to avoid clicking on any forum threads, even if it's for an actor who appeared in a movie that's old enough not to be discussed much anymore, but I'm always surprised how I get spoiled in seriously unexpected ways. Back to the movie, I guess.
