shareLongform storytelling would disagree with Lindelof's snippet of a commentary. The MCU is an entity over a timeline that spans eternity.
shareI think you missed the gist.
shareNo, I don't think I missed the rhetorical "point".
The MCU is not a finite entity with a Beginning, a Middle and an End.
"There are eight million stories within the Naked City, here are 138 of them.
Naked City was an anthology series a bit similar to The Twilight Zone. The MCU has and will continue to have through-lines, threads, and narratives that indeed will have Beginnings, Middles, and Ends.
The MCU will indeed have multiple "Specials" that indeed will be unique but because of the Long-Form story treatment will cause some to feel nothing that happens is meaningful.
Well, welcome to life.
Just my "two cents".
Huge fan of Lost but it is the dangers of any TV show where the studio will want to milk it.
Whilst season 4 of Lost for me was probably the last great season of the show I still overall enjoyed seasons 5 and 6.
I know what he means though, I’d love TV shows to have the pacing of Breaking Bad where the 5 season structure felt very tight with very little filler.
