Does Kurtzman REALLY HATE all 1980s and 1990s Star Trek?
Why does he and Abrams constantly feel the need to reboot Kirk/Pike/Spock/McCoy TOS Star Trek? I just don't get it. Yes, they started the ball rolling, but the TOS series was a failure and was cancelled, it was only in syndication that it became popular.
I see that era of Star Trek as OLD, but I do like the evolution from the primitive computer panels used to the interim period of the later TOS movies to the final form of the LCARS computer system used in all of 1980s and 1990s Star Trek.
What I don't like is seeing the old TOS Trek "upgraded" by Abrams and Kurtzman to somehow seem more advanced than LCARS, and even in the future with the Picard show with those absolutely ridiculous holographic interfaces with no tactile feedback whatsoever.
Basically, my OP question still stands.
