Just saw how to be single, not the hardest role but I thought she did fine and pretty good in some scenes. Never saw FSOG, but I imagine that movie would invite criticism regardless of how she did since it got such bad reviews.
She looks a lot older than her age though.

Not because she's a good actress, she's not, but she seems so real! She doesn't come across as an actress playing an ordinary girl with a low IQ, she comes across as a perfectly genuine ordinary girl with a low IQ who somehow wandered into the movie.
If you ever look up information about her, you would realize "Fifty Shades" actually shows she is a good actress (Not Great, yet). The character of Ana is nothing like her real personality. She played that role of the naivete perfectly.
PS: The character does not come across as "low IQ" at all. if anything she comes across as quite intelligent. She outsmarted Christian Grey at his own game.
She's fine. I like her. She's never gonna be a big movie star.

shareI think she has a kind of schtick that she's good at, but she can't play very far outside of it. For example, her character Kate in TV series Ben and Kate is what she excels at. It's the character she is playing in every movie she's been in, even when she's not being asked to play that. So maybe herself is all she can do. But that's not necessarily bad, it just means she is limited in her ability and her roles.
