OK, let's look at current music genres OTHER THAN rap and see how good they are....

Country music... There is some over-produced garbage if I've ever heard it. Ok let's look at the Pop scene...
Taylor Swift... Not exactly the height of musical expression.

Even if current rap fazed out (I wish ) we wouldn't have anything better to replace it. All current music sucks.

Keep dreaming, rap isn't going anywhere.

If Sean Combs or Shawn Carter are convicted, it doesn't reverse an entire culture of music.
