Exactly! Just like fvj-although the piece of crap made money. Sad.
Her character made me want to repeatedly punch myself.
It was awful acting, and she made me wish more and more that her character would die. I think she was trying to be funny, but she wasn't.
I so wish you were wrong. I am an avowed fan of Katharine, but I keep on seeing her deliver sub-par performances in utter trash, sleepwalking through tiny guest spots, and feel like weeping because she is capable of much better.
I remember when she appeared in worthwhile projects and gave decent, if not excellent performances and wonder what the hell happened.
Particularly since 2005 she appears to have developed a number of strange nuances and ticks - like the hands thing in Englishman's Boy when she says 'I used my charms on him', that make you feel like cringing. But that, and her appearance in Ogre are nothing compared to her first scene in Englishman's Boy, which is delivered as though it is amateur hour at the auditions. Not to mention the fact that the semi-close shot of her there makes her look anything but pretty, overly made up and hair plastered to her head, etc.
Please don't all get on my case. I AM a fan, and I AM trying to be objective.
I so want the old Katharine back, but wonder if it will ever happen as it's approaching five years since she appeared in a lead role and gave a truly top class performance.
Yeah, true ... Katharine had better roles in her early times .. i'd love to watch the Englishman's Boy though... and yeah this Ogre movie was a crap, but still i think she's done a good work, i mean it was a fantasy movie, like for little kids lol, not even a spooky one.

It was on sci-fi-of course it was going 2 be horrible. But alas she was worth watching it. :D
