Her career trajectory kind of reminds me of Reese Witherspoon.
Both took on some seriously edgy roles and movies earlier in their careers. Then played it safe ever since. Although, "Wild (2014)" showed flashes of the old Reese.

shareI think she took a risk with Jurassic World. That movie was heavily promoted and she had a prominent role in it (unlike her previous big budget films). If it had failed to connect with audiences it would have been disastrous for her career. It may not have been an edgy role, but I don't think she was playing it safe by choosing it.
Must dash. I forgot to feed my wombat.
I have to disagree about it being disastrous for her career. Nepotism will keep her in front of the camera, even if she's awful in a few films, or in awful films where she's the lead. Having Ron Howard as her father will guarantee she always works in some form or another. Her last name is like Mastercard: it's accepted absolutely everywhere.

A person's name alone doesn't guarantee them a long-term successful career. A terrible actor with a famous parent can try to coast along with their career for awhile but it won't work for very long. Even if they're as beautiful as Bryce, if they're completely talentless they'll hit a wall eventually where they're doing nothing but indie/direct-to-video stuff, just like most actors.

That "Black Mirror" episode and "Gold" sort of showed flashes of the old Bryce.
