did not make the Oscars memoriam
forgotten
shareHe was a good character actor, but not as influential as Kobe to cinema apparently.
shareHis real fans remember him.
The Oscars ceremony is pretty pointless to me anyway. It's just somebody else's opinion on what movies to watch.
Remember him fondly, and enjoy his work. That's the real tribute.
I agree. The man had amazing screen presence and added so much to every film he was in.
shareWas he in the Actor's Guild? Sometimes they snub you if you don't play ball.
shareI just want to finally take the opportunity to say just how sexy this man was!
shareIt's not actually a snub. If not a member of the Motion Picture Academy (not the Actor's Guild), then they are ineligible to be included.
I mentioned this in another post:
R. Lee Ermey was offered membership in the Academy so they could nominate him for Full Metal Jacket and he declined. When he passed, he was not included because he was not a member.
Bastards.
