He was great in The Return of the Living Dead (1985). I also really liked his performance in his sons film, Feast (2005).

93 is a right old age to live to.

I just heard he passed away on the Noir Alley Facebook page. I’ve only become familiar with his work over the past two years and always enjoy his performance. He had one of the most distinctive voices I have heard in film and TV.

Very low keyed guy. Everybody liked him over the many years. Believe it or not he was married to talented comic actress who was a semi regular on "Barney Miller."
