Engagement
What's the point of getting engaged in 44 years of age? You're supposed to have the maturity to judge whether you can be with a guy or not.
But as the philosopher Jagger once said, "You can't always get what you want".

That is a really retarded thing to say. I always question people who marry after a short or no engagement at all. Why rush it? Just because you're 44, it doesn't mean you're about to die. Plus, at ANY age it is good to get to know the person you intend to spend the rest of your life with. And like the others say, most normal and sane people start planning the wedding after getting engaged.
I have a feeling you look at being engaged as being in a relationship...
"Did I do this?!"
